I think it’s just got so much appeal to parents too, we’re the generation that grew up with both 90s Disney musicals and anime and it’s something people like watching with their kids

If you have not been exposed to how bland kid’s and young adult movies have gotten you may be shocked by the success of Kpop Demon Hunters.
My son who did want to watch it cause “for girls” loved it. He noted that there was a villain. Disney animated movies have dropped the concept of bad guys.
