I was gonna say this, but not so well.
Anime is not one of my areas of expertise, I know enough to know how little I know, but I know enough to recognize the truth of this insight, and it sort of shifts my perception of what's going on in the anime I do watch.
Your basic anime girl is clearly a different species of hominid which has evolved to fill a nocturnal predator role.

Man, if we could get local law enforcement to recognize that ICE/CBP are not Real Cops Like Us, they are criminals from out of town making fools of the local PD, it could turn things around. Blessings on people who try to make that happen.
I continue in my attempts to impress on the Sheriff just how much her decisions are compromising the reputation of and any trust the public has in the Sheriff’s Office, as well as the entire county operation.

I really wonder what it's gonna take to get the back-bench Ds to rise up and slap some sense into Schumer and Jeffries and the rest of the Leadership Club.

I'm generally very much in favor of facts and truth, but we also need a folk hero now and then and Mamdani seems better qualified than most to carry it off.
it's actually a really good political skill that Mamdani convinces people that this is true. I think American politicians, especially dems, really failed/forgot how to slap their names on shit and say that they did, they are why people are benefiting from X etc, even when that isn't strictly true.

Interesting idea, I hadn't heard this suggestion before. If this is offered as part of a compromise deal on ICE I might allow it. With similar conditions on other forms of violence.

If you've been around for a while, you know that one of my incremental positions is that any law enforcement official that fires a gun is automatically done with that job. Doesn't matter why you fired it, you only get to do it once, then you have to go get a real job

This nebbish should go to jail as part of the clean-up. There must be some kind of conspiracy or racketeering charge that covers this kind of coordinated direct frontal assault on the Constitution and the rule of law.
