She really loved it and might have gotten into other games, but she ran into a puzzle in Myst that required you to play back a piano tune on a little in-game keyboard, and being tone deaf she couldn’t get past it. Accessibility really matters!

I remember my mom lying on the couch with the little paperback hint guide. The hints were printed in special “invisible ink” you could reveal as needed with the special highlighter pen it came with, so you couldn’t accidentally spoil yourself (she beat it without using all of the book btw)

We had this! It also came with peril-sensitive sunglasses (black cardstock, lol), a Don’t Panic! button pin which my dad might still have, a microscopic intergalactic attack fleet (tiny empty ziplock…or was it??), and a piece of pocket fluff (a cotton ball)
