… beyond the gross inhumanity here, the odds are Juan, at least, is a US citizen, and so is his sister. He’s two months old.
After a discussion with their attorney, I have confirmed that Juan, his 16-month-old sister, his mom, and his dad have been deported.

ICE announced they’re going to spend more than $38 billion to detain thousands of more people.
With that amount of money, we could end homelessness, extend the Affordable Care Act subsidies, or provide school lunches to every kid in America.
This is totally unacceptable.

A lot of people who have warned you about horrors that have come to pass are now warning about the concentration camps. People need to take this as seriously as you can take anything in life.
The concentration camps will not only be for immigrants, documented or otherwise. They already aren't.
They won't only be for brown and Black people.
The targets will keep expanding. It will not end.
The only way it will is if we stop it. Both in and out of the system. There is no other way.

Discovered today that Instagram had turned on (without my opt-in) automatic AUDIO translation of any reel that shows up in my feed not in English USING AI TO MIMIC THE SPEAKER’S VOICE and WOW it was creepy and upsetting.
You can turn it off in “Language & Translations” in Settings. 🙅🏻♀️

Years ago, I took a group of high school students on my slavery and resistance in NYC walking tour and when I shared this with them, they were incredulous, LOL.
Also, at the end of the tour, they were FURIOUS because they felt lied to in their social studies classes.
