Cass' zeal to deny trans healthcare to kids is a threat to trans healthcare to all, especially those 18-25. The conspiracy theories of 'rapid onset gender dysphoria' and 'social contagion' that Cass' work is premised on taints its approach to all trans people.

Pretty much. Aside from the SPLC, or Sarah Posner (whose work I've been following since she was w/ Religious Dispatches), there are a lot of former/ex-evangelicals on here that can attest to just how messed this sort of thing actually is.

What more than person has pointed out is that in the case of a lot of evangelicals, they're not actually familiar w/ anything Jesus said or did, even read the Bible/ the Gospels in their entirety. Instead, you have people that selectively read & discuss the fire & brimstone, & not-socialist aspects.

What I remember about Avatar is that the film was alright, just felt like really fancy cgi (which it was), and that some Palestinians dressed up as Pandorans to protest against the then newly built wall, and got tear-gassed for it.

One of the funniest things is that while to some people she's known for HP, she's also Aunt Prudence in the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries - which comes as a shock whenever someone hears her in real life, and her stories (eg the one about her hotel being a cocaine drop).
