AIPAC listen to me, it is extremely vital that you spend all of your money, literally all of it, on running ads against Chuck Schumer in 2028 because he said a mean word about Netanyahu one time in 2024

Trump could say the n-word on live TV and the Times’ first reaction would be “it was unclear if Mr. Trump was aware of the word’s complicated history”
The New York Times has finally covered the Trump video of Obama as an ape — and they are still providing cover for him. Fuck the Times.

Before Trump 2.0, this was one of my biggest fears. With everything that's happened in the last year, it may seem like small news -- just another stream in the constant firehose of institutional destruction. But it's not. Effectively losing the professional federal civil service is a very bad thing.
Final Schedule F rule published: in defiance of the vast majority of public comments, it commits to further politicizing government, removing anyone the Trump administration dislikes.

Diana is being held at a facility with a measles outbreak.

A facility holding a 2 month old baby.

A facility that held Liam Ramos and made him sick.

A facility where kids scream “let us out!”

They’re denying a Congresswoman entry.

What are they hiding?

I was just denied entry to the Dilley detention facility while my constituent, seven-year-old Diana, remains inside.

What kind of sick, horrific conditions are children being forced to endure in there?

I will be back tomorrow. Accountability can’t wait.

I dig into Epstein's meeting with the founder of 4chan and the political project that followed for @bylinetimes.bsky.social

I just read the declaration that Kira Kelley asked J. Blackwell to consider.
This immigrant describes being
-unlawfully arrested
-taken from one overcrowded & filthy prison to another over 19 days
-held incommunicado
& ICE never telling him a court ordered his release

He describes an American gulag

I studied at a top uni. This famous professor who normally gave no lectures had a small informal seminar, I was told it would be a great opportunity but then a grad student pulled me aside to warn me that The Professor liked pretty young girls, to be carful. I never went.
the Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex

Good. "But DHS isn't just ICE, it's also..." nope, wrong. DHS no longer serves any useful functions, the whole thing has been reassigned to repression. FEMA isn't even paying out to states. All DHS does is shooting, teargassing, facial recognition, and administrative warrants. Shut it down.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune said Thursday that demands made by Democrats for new restrictions on federal immigration officers are “unrealistic” and warned that the Department of Homeland Security will shut down next week if they do not work with Republicans and the White House.
