Ask me about Hotel Del Luna, I want everyone to watch it. :) I like cats, art, info about early years education and neurodivergence. And Hotel Del Luna. If I follow you I don't expect you do it back, don't feel like you have to. :)

This strikes me as a pretty major Brexit shift from Starmer.

Perhaps the beginning of 'Brexit is sh1t and has caused real economic damage'.

Not only this is amazing because part of fascism is the destruction of joy but it also makes it look ridiculous that the military is being deployed to put a stop to this

A girl in a hijab appeared and it was DEI! I didn't know that, I thought people just went around! Was it DEI when I saw a woman in M&S??? Is DEI everywhere?

Today my daughter's preschool is holding a farewell assembly for one of her classmates whose mother has no choice but to self deport. The school is hoping it will be joyful in tone, so we might make this less upsetting for this 3 year old.

There's just no words for the uselessness of this cruelty.

upshot.nytimes.com
The decline is occurring as the Trump administration has delayed visa processing, instituted travel bans or restrictions for 19 countries, threatened to deport international students for pro-Palestinian speech, and heightened the vetting of student visa applicants.

Someone should write a book about how to manage like the anti-Elon, explaining why all of his management ideas are very, very stupid.

News: Bari Weiss just sent a memo to staffers at CBS News asking them to produce a memo explaining "how you spend your working hours—and ideally, what you've made (or are making) that you're most proud of."

One CBS News staffer puts it like this to me: "We just got Elon Musked."

I've spent years on and off curating a playlist of Halloween music that's listenable, a bit creepy and avoids any of the seasonal cliches. Spans alt-rock, rock, rap and electronica and I absolutely love it at this time of year music.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Imagine not only “losing” the Nobel Peace Prize, but also being specifically sub-tweeted by the decision-makers for your efforts to destroy democracy. Trump loses big. Congratulations Nobel Committee, well played.

True story: Pieter Bruegel the Elder had two artist sons, Pieter Bruegel the Younger who was the eldest and Jan Bruegel the Elder who was the youngest. Confused? You will be: Pieter Bruegel the Younger *also* had an artist son called Pieter Bruegel… etc etc.

Born (perhaps) on this day in 1564, in Brussels Pieter Brueghel the Younger. Older son of the great Pieter. Made a good career painting copies of dad’s work for eager market.
