Amazon Web Services hosts massive surveillance systems for both ICE and DHS.

Citizens Bank provides nearly $1 trillion in credit & bonds to private prison companies.

AT&T has a $147 million contract to provide communications services to DHS.

Anyone in Congress still backing this needs to wake up from the delusion that Trump’s immigration enforcement is about public safety. These were asylum seekers with an active court date, detained in a parking lot while trying to get medical care for their child.

The family’s detainment marks the first confirmed detainment of an entire family in Oregon, advocates say.

look at them. murderers itching to murder again but these people chose to stay, to film, to witness, to risk being next, to risk having their families targeted, their names dragged through the mud before their bodies are even cold. i wish they did not have to be brave but i'm grateful that they are.
From Whittier a few hrs ago—after shooting & killing an ICE responder in Minneapolis, 37 yr old Alex Pretti, DHS agents brutalized a crowd that gathered & flooded the area w/ tear gas.

they did in fact very literally vote for this. they wanted the brutality, they just assumed it would be against someone else
Seriously, folks, people did NOT vote for murder on the streets. A majority of those who voted went for Trump, and to win power, those against Trump will have to win many of them over, not reject them all as people who want fascism.

Respectfully I think it is both about rigging elections and also abducting people for a prison/camp labor system

It's clear that people in the US sincerely believe that the military and other state-sanctioned forces are not like the rest. There are a number of deadly rude awakenings, past, present, and future, to shatter that fantasy. The state will not be protecting you from the state.

This is also connected to that whole thing where all their fantasies of protecting their own *family* centers on enacting violence and not, like, vaccinating their kids and making sure they're prepared for a power outage etc.

Even people they know, they only think of in terms of violence.
rightwingers see people caring about others in their community and instead of finding that inspiring they think it’s some sort of grand conspiracy because they don’t understand what it means to care for others you don’t personally know
