The lesbians are rightfully furious! This isn't a joke. The lesbians I know are furious.
I’m a station wagon expert. The problem isn’t whatever nonsense the Secretary of Road Rules Real World Challenge is saying. The problem is Subaru deciding the most popular wagon in history should actually look like a Ford 150 had a baby with a Jeep Cherokee for no fucking reason

I drive electric now so it's pretty much irrelevant to me personally, but if for some reason you're not willing to take the electric car plunge, it would be nice to be able to buy a small sedan. They don't exist anymore because everything is now a light truck to meet CAFE standards more easily.

There is an active lawsuit in the Fifth Circuit RIGHT NOW where chemical companies are trying to overturn an EPA ban on asbestos
it is MIRACULOUS that we got rid of lead paint and asbestos when we did. if we had tried that today, there would be people whining about how we're restricting their rights.
Bring back residential-use lead paint, you cowards.

One of the greatest stage revivals of all time, if you're judging by how much they improved on the original production. Merrily We Roll Along was a legendary flop and this group made it *soar*

In what world is "do you arrest the previous government for dozens of felonies each plus crimes against humanity" not on this list
Most interesting topic for 2028 candidates, followed by what they'll do on immigration.

You can't say "we have Medicare for All now" with an executive order. But you can declare emergencies, browbeat companies into lowering prices, all stuff the Tea Party pretended to be against.
There is such a thirst in some progressive centrist circles that they will look at the Trump administration as a model to get things done. I think its worth addressing the argument. This is from Mark Dunkelman, author of the widely praised "Why Nothing Works."

Free speech always includes the right to say "the way that person/company is using their free speech is fuckin' stupid"
and it's a bad and baiting take to say "steam has the right to do that." yeah, they do. we also have the right to drag them for it and for being shitty and opaque about it

Hey! If you’ve ever liked my voice, now, before the end of the year, would be a really good time to hire me for any SAG-approved projects!

Asking as someone who loves VO, and also really loves having halfway decent health insurance

I thought about getting myself a new PC for Christmas since I built my current one in 2013, looked at component prices and promptly started researching how to force-upgrade an outdated motherboard/CPU to Windows 11 instead. Shit is *dire*
Cannot stress how bad shit is about to get if you want to build any kind of PC.
Crucial is shutting down — because Micron wants to sell its RAM and SSDs to AI companies instead. It’s already getting hard to build an affordable PC, and the exit of the longstanding provider of consumer memory is going to make that even more challenging www.theverge.com/news/837594/...

Oh shit, you can do that?
I get great pleasure having off ticketing websites that wont let me buy two seats because it leaves one single so I basket the single in a different browser then get the two I want. It often means I end up with a spare seat next to me at the show. Bonus.

All reporting on this should frame it as "a social media post purportedly written by Trump, although it is widely believed that an unknown number of aides and associates also operate his account, with or without the president's knowledge..."
I’m also gonna start posting stuff I don’t have the authority to order.

Andrew Garfield shall be my husband.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Currently going nuts over this because I already have a ticket to Little Shop in January and now the best Audrey (and one of my favorite Broadway performers, period) is back in the show

If Cole Hamels were already in the Hall of Fame, here’s where he would rank among the 70 HoFers with at least 200 starts:

- ERA+: 30th
- Strikeouts: 23rd
- WHIP: 33rd
- bWAR: 49th
- K/9: 5th
- BB/9: 46th
- H/9: 23rd

He fits right in. What am I missing?

Pratchett had the right idea in THE LAST CONTINENT about putting all politicians in jail immediately after the election to save time, but should have extended it to any businessperson famous enough to get a soft-focus personality profile

I named my fists Vladimir and Estragon because they never accomplish anything

Stoppard always feels clever in a way that so so many writers mimic, but everyone else copies the surface. the Stoppard magic is that the cleverness is impossibly thin, basically transparent, and there’s this unending well of feeling on the other side

me before the second Trump admin: Chris Van Hollen seems pretty good, I guess

me at this point: I will run through a brick wall for Chris Van Hollen
Van Hollen is being personally credited as the chief pressure point that made Israel release a Palestinian teenager with American citizenship from their dungeons, where he was held for 9 months without even a criminal charge.

A post-NYC addendum to this trip: we're in DC for the touring production of the (surprisingly trans-positive!) stage adaptation of SOME LIKE IT HOT, three years after we saw its very first preview on Broadway. Looking forward to seeing the new cast.
