“If you’re mean to fascist cops, they’re allowed to shoot you in the face” is the official administration position now?
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

That a Reagan judge would give up his lifetime appointment willingly because he feels a future GOP president has rendered that appointment meaningless in the midst of an authoritarian speedrun is quite remarkable:

This is pure, unadulterated evil.

The president of the United States is deliberately trying to starve millions of people.
Any food which has gotten to poor families the states must send agents to reclaim the food before it is eaten or face new federal penalties
“.. The Agriculture Department issued the command in a late-night Saturday memo .. That guidance threatened to impose financial penalties on states that did not “comply” quickly with the government’s new orders.”

Im endlessly fascinated by the narratives that these cities are war zones that are constantly on fire when in reality theyre mostly nice peaceful places with lot of parks and cultural events. The disparity is nuts
Trump on Portland ruling: I wasn’t served well by the people who pick judges. I appointed the judge and it goes like that. If he made that decision—Portland is burning to the ground… all you have to do is look at the TV and read your newspapers.

That judge ought to be ashamed of himself

It’s embarrassing but the Jimmy Kimmel debacle actually is important. It was the first real attempt by the Project 2025 movement to flex their muscle against someone who wasn’t a nameless, defenseless nobody and it catastrophically flopped in less than a week.

We don't know the shooter's beliefs or motives yet, but we do know the family that raised him was a Republican, gun-loving household.

Regardless, it is clear that Trump immediately assigned blame to the "radical left" without any factual merit, which is a disgusting thing for a President to do.
He comes from a very pro-gun house. There are lots of photos of the family online with guns. Note the “build it yourself rifle” kit another child was given for Christmas.

I Think it’s as simple as

You don’t have to cheer on political violence
You don’t have to celebrate someone’s death
You don’t have to go out of your way to be gracious or considerate if a person passes and they spent time here trying to make life worse for others.

I don’t think any of that is hard

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

I probably don’t agree with Charlie Kirk on a damn thing, but that doesn’t matter - he’s a husband and a father.

This is despicable and can’t become our new normal.
