This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)
Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

It's from Odetta Sings Dylan, from March 1965, where she absolutely kills it on a dozen Dylan songs - and her version of "Tambourine Man" came out a month before Dylan's own.
You guys ever heard Odetta's version of "Mr Tambourine Man"? It's so cool. Extremely slow 12/8, bluesy seventh chords, phrasing like Billie Holiday. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOEP...

Hamlet: yes?
Ghost: not Scrooge?
Hamlet: ... no?

I like to imagine that Bob Dylan only knows of Weird Al from "UHF." He doesn't realize he had a whole career of being a musical parodist. He's just like "oh yeah I loved his film. It had the spirt of Groucho in him. Not with the brothers, but when he was on You Bet Your Life"
Feels like all of us music writers should check in with Dylan's office to see if Bob wants to provide a quote, no matter who the subject is, just to be on the safe side. Tortoise, Weird Al, Lana Del Rey - maybe Bob's got something to say!
Bob Dylan writes about Willie Nelson in a new New Yorker profile

(Bob also says before this, "It’s hard to talk about Willie without saying something stupid or irrelevant, he is so much of everything")
