I actually don’t think every portrayal of gay people needs to club you over the head with reminders that homophobia is pervasive in this world. Heated Rivalry also doesn’t ignore it so I don’t understand why it’s catching so much flak. I don’t think every queer story needs to be a fucking tragedy.
