I'm kind of psyched that the weather will be unseasonably warm (highs of 50 degrees) for my show in Minneapolis on Sunday night! I hope the people of the Twin Cities don't take this opportunity to go out on their jet skis and miss my set!

Window that opens onto my fire escape is broken, can't be opened easily. My landlord told me his guy is on vacation; he'll fix it in two weeks.

Me: Let's hope I don't die in a fire before then. Bad for both of us.
Him: Ah, don't worry about it. No way I'm going to have two buildings burn down.

If your novel is set in the recent, pre-cellphone past and your plot depends on a dilemma that would now be resolved with a simple phone call, make sure the reader understands that by having a character say, "Too bad cellphones don't exist yet."

Fans of the old podcast have reached out. I respond reluctantly because people need positivity in these negative times. But my honest opinion is: “Now You Don’t” remains what they FAILED to call the second one. This title doesn’t erase the failure and should quite frankly be called Now You Three Me

So this is like... a couple of hundred petabytes worth of data they just compromised.

That was the source of truth in case of a disaster or serious attack. Probably gone now. Also, a milly a year for storing a quarter of a fuckin' exabyte is actually really really cheap.

There's no going back now.

Oh @npr.org, you worms. Just 100% selling the bullshit Repub framing. Seems only one party has agency: the one with far LESS power.

That said, Democrats, this should be a no-brainer. Stop wringing your hands in public and vote NO to cloture.

Let’s keep calling and telling them what we expect!
