Something I mentioned to @atrupar.com is how Johnson will say he's too "busy" to read *the president's* tweets or statements, while actual VP JD Vance will rage post in response to journalists and relatively minor liberal influencers. Either Johnson can't multitask or Vance doesn't have a real job.
The fact that not a single reporter tells Mike Johnson “let me read it for you” or “here it is” when he claims he hasn’t seen or doesn’t know a thing about the psychotic ramblings of the head of state is not only a dereliction of journalistic duty, but a display of pure cowardice.

All the people who lost their jobs posting things like “Charlie Kirk was not such a great guy,” and the man in the Oval Office literally blames murder victims for provoking their own murder through what he considers their unreasoning opposition to him, and there is never any accountability for him.

New: When the Washington Post ran tests on its AI personalized podcasts, the paper found that between 68% and 84% (!!) of the pods had potential issues.

Still, the paper decided to release the product anyway, saying it would “iterate through the remaining issues”

What if the social media experience some seek is not post-truth rhetorical combat with the deck stacked against them? What if they prefer conversations and good faith engagement? Why wouldn’t that be okay?

Increasingly GOP party actors like Indiana legislators are balking. When they do — whether motivated by principle, self-interest, or spite — it’s not (just) Democrats who benefit. It’s the entire country and the Constitution.

Is it political violence when students get killed after JD Vance and Trump call universities the enemy of the people? Or is that just "tragedy" while only the murder of far-right advocates of violence like Charlie Kirk qualifies for political recognition?

A good next step would... and I know this might sound a wee bit obvious... be to NOT WATCH. To Bari Weiss, your "hate eyeballs" are indistinguishable from "earnestly curious eyeballs." Like unless you're professionally required to watch... this isn't one to gawk at or mock incredulously. SILENCIO.
Major advertisers appeared to sit out a new CBS News town hall telecast Saturday, moderated by Bari Weiss and featuring an interview with Erika Kirk.

Lack of Madison Avenue support could challenge the viability of the format, which Weiss wants to expand

So, just to be clear: all that has to happen is for a student to lodge a complaint against a teacher and that teacher is suspended? That's smart. I can't see any way that this power being placed in the hands of students could possibly backfire.
From the Oklahoma U student paper: the school is now saying it will automatically suspend faculty (with pay) in response to student complaints

Yeah, the reporting on Erika Kirk is weeeeeeird even by the deeply-weird standards of these fucking weirdos. She's got King-Sized Crazy Eyes and all of this feels opportunistic and gross. The right is creepy about this stuff.
The 0 to 60 charm offensive around Erika Kirk is really something. Six months ago she was the wife of a podcaster, and had little to no public recognition. Now she's a prophetess rubbing elbows with the country's power elite.
