...since ppl in the replies are speculating as to why the DNC is burying the "autopsy", here is what Greg Sargent (the author of the article I just QT'd) believes is likely the case:
bsky.app/profile/greg...
A big reason this is bad is it could let the Future Forward Super PAC escape any accountability for the 2024 loss. It had hundreds of millions of dollars in donor money, and the DNC report was reportedly going to fault them. Now this will remain undisclosed:

Interesting how I haven’t seen a single person who tried to whitewash MTG’s violent history and claim she’s “coming around to our side now” speak a single word about her latest anti-trans bill.

Importantly, this wouldn't have passed without Dem support. There was enough of a split within Republican ranks that if Dems had voted against the bill it would've been doa. Giving Trump a blank check to warmonger *and* passing an anti-trans measure was a choice.
115 Democrats just voted to codify the first federal trans segregation law.

Elon Musk is worse at hiding it but this is the problem with all billionaires: they are a threat to democratic governance. They have an insatiable need to own and control everything. If you want to be free you have to curb their power, and demand political leaders who understand that
Elon Musk is against the European Union being the European Union —he posted this after X (fka Twitter) was fined for violations of the EU’s Digital Services Act.

one of many parallels between anti-vaxxers & those who oppose gender-affirming care: they start by pretending they have a very specific concern (MMR vaccine, puberty blockers, etc), but once given any sway or say on the matter, they quickly strive to eliminate all of it
Kennedy's zombie ACIP panel just voted to restrict hepatitis B vaccine for newborns. Experts say it will harm children for no reason. www.ms.now/news/rfk-cdc...

ACIP member Dr. Cody Meissner:

"'Do no harm' is a moral imperative. We are doing harm by changing this wording. And I vote no."
RFK Jr.’s CDC panel: No more hepatitis B vaccine for some newborns
The CDC's vaccine advisory panel, stocked with anti-vaccine activists and loyalists to RFK Jr., voted Friday to stop recommending a birth dose of vaccine.

The Washington Post editorial board decided the Epstein files have “no public interest” before even seeing them. That’s a stunning position for any newsroom to take. Praising Clay Higgins as the lone ‘no’ vote, too? No wonder no one trusts legacy media. Absolutely disgusting.

For anyone confused or inclined to The Satanic Temple at face value, the ORIGINAL claim was that TST had a program set up to feed people who lost SNAP benefits.

What TST is doing now is the equivalent of posting its Venmo, asking *you* to give to food banks, then saying TST is doing something.

PSA: Satanic Temple is led by a reactionary, borderline-fascist grifter.

PLEASE do not amplify the claim that they are magically going to feed a big bunch of the WIC/SNAP folks set to go hungry.

At a minimum, that's doing free PR for bad people.

And it potentially gives the impacted false hope.

This is a joke, right? A parody account?

We have an authoritarian prosecuting his political enemies, destroying the rule of law, subverting Congress, wrecking the economy, and, inter alia, deploying troops and masked secret police to majority-opposition party cities.

FOCUS ON HEALTHCARE?????
The Trump administration’s threat to deploy troops in Portland is unlawful.

Here’s a thought.

Focus on protecting the healthcare of the American people.

You know how fascism requires a smaller and smaller ingroup as it develops?

Well so does neoliberalism.

Palestinians, trans people, disabled people...they become acceptable losses who must be sacrificed to "save democracy."

The only way to defeat fascism is to leave no one behind.

I think this same argument applies to so-called "cancel culture," where established pundits decry students & activists (read: non-elites) who merely express our own views as being "censorious," while ignoring countless attempts by elites (politicians, administrations, media) to literally censor us
imo "violence aimed at elites from non-elites" is the category of violence most disfavored in elite discourse. and violence that flows from elites to non-elites is not conceived of as violence at all. and these ideas frame the entire elite conception of who charlie kirk was and what his murder means
I think there are a lot of answers that have already been floated around here, and I've even offered some myself, but I did want to sharpen the question a bit.

This is Gavin Newsom introducing and attempting to mainstream the idea that adults should also not be allowed to transition.

That he, and people like him, should have the right to dictate whether we receive medical care, or are denied it.

And you ask why we'll oppose him to our dying breaths?
Gavin Newsom suggesting that 25 years of age is too young to transition and agreeing to right-wing entryism of concern trolling about trans people in sports. This is your opposition leader?

I will never vote for Gavin Newsom anyone who thinks trans people are actual humans will follow suit.

I am a lefty who spends my social media time on Bluesky (the supposed lefty app) & I hadn't heard anything about this "Sydney Sweeny thing" until Charlie Warzel's article (about the discourse surrounding it) yesterday
“This Sydney Sweeney thing” is like 3 tweets and 5 TikToks from random people. The left is not remotely worked up about this.

The right, however, has been frothing about the nonexistent outrage for days — and more prominent outlets are spreading far more radical and troubling messages.
A message I just got from a buddy of mine, who’s a long time Democratic Party campaign consultant: “This Sydney Sweeney thing is the kind of thing that turns men away from our party. It’s why men think our party is weak & insane.”

My response to him? “Fuck yea it is. You are exactly right.”
