Can't wait for the loosened up, non-perfect, but quickly shipped AI-enhanced updates to hit my banking and insurance services next year.

Großteils ein Inhaltsirrtum, Dänemark ist ähnlich teuer, aber das kommt heraus, wenn man vergleicht, was nicht so einfach zu vergleichen ist.

There's absolutely no reason that Japan should be teetering on the brink of a debt crisis. The government has over 100% of GDP in financial assets that can be sold to bring public debt down from 240 to 130% percent. That's still high but more manageable...

One argument I used to make to my students about why it was important to learn history (and historical thinking) is that someone was always going to be trying to tell you things were natural or had always been this way and that you needed to be able to see that as an exercise of power.

I've kept a pretty open mind to basically anything that explains how Epstein got away with what he got away with for so long, but I don't have a hard time believing it's ultimately some combination of "rich people are stupid and lazy" and "the law isn't actually real for sufficiently rich people."
