This is because our elected officials haven't been helping with any of our institutions for years except the military and law enforcement. Schools, libraries and other public services have been held together by immense amounts of volunteer labor and community funding.
All of this happened with basically no help from elected officials of the opposition party. This was entirely the people.

None of these Republicans and most of these Democrats are not all of a sudden “seeing the light on ICE.” They simply understand the worm turning on public opinion and saving face. They will ALL go back to voting for minority brutalization as soon as they can. You can’t keep falling for this.

I had a very productive call with Lucy earlier today. I stressed to her the importance of holding the football in place every time so I have a fair chance of kicking it. A believe we have reached an understanding and she has assured me that she will do her best to comply.
I had a productive call with President Trump earlier today. I told him we need impartial investigations of the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, and that we need to reduce the number of federal agents in Minnesota.
