I understand the point, but WE have not lost a damn thing. I have watched the illusion that the authoritarian right and the go-along center ever had a moral compass get crushed over the past 25 years or so, but I’m still here with my small, impotent moral compass I’ve had almost 50 years now.
Millions of Americans watched a middle-aged US citizen get shot in the face and killed by an ICE officer today. That's a level of national trauma that deserves a more respectful response from this administration than falsely claiming she's a domestic terrorist. We have lost our moral compass.

I have a somewhat unhinged theory that... an obvious problem with Instagram becoming the de facto event announcement place for most organizations is, because of the non-chronological timeline, users regularly find out about events several days after they happen. I think this is on purpose!
On my annual winter e-break I came to the conclusion that basically every facet of our lives has gotten worse because a majority of people now primarily "live" online and thus only experience the world in the abstract. The loudest voices online/in culture aren't actually living real lives anymore.
There should be a sort of 24 hr soft ban on this site that, when logged in, asks for your location and then indicates the distance and directions to the nearest park or outdoor public place
