I feel it’s important to speak up and say shit like that is unacceptable while also making sure not to click any link that’ll grant them any web traffic or stats. I get not feeding the beast but it also seems like “ignore them and they’ll go away” stopped being a viable option years ago 🫤

My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”

2. The article doesn't address the toxicity around book banning. I think a lot of teachers are reluctant to assign a whole novel because they don't know if some facebook-addled adult is going to insert themselves armed with out of context quotes and make everyone miserable.
