I had no idea it was so hard to get an iron infusion — I was lucky to be given one a few days after my giving birth to my first kid, because I was still in hospital and very anaemic. (It felt almost as rejuvenating as a blood transfusion a year earlier did: it’s magic stuff, truly.)

the only reason they ever gave me an iron infusion is that i had endometrial cancer that caused endless bleeding and they were able to give me the infusion during the cancer surgery.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email
