I coached rec for a while and saw some abominable behavior from parents towards coaches, refs, and the kids. My last season was u12 and a coach (parent) from the other team wanted to fight the ref after the match. Over what I don't remember, but this was not a competitive league.
as someone who used to be a footy ref, youth sports parents who pathetically live vicariously through their children might be the worse people on earth.

i remember a dad who berated me for calling a foul on his daughter.

this was an under-7 rec league game where the point is to teach the rules 💀
Survey: Managing parents among top reasons youth coaches quit

I'm starting to think the Trumpist mastery of propaganda is failing them. The DHS agents posing this way makes it look like they're ashamed of themselves.

Lots of people talk about how ICE has only existed for two decades, but the entire Department of Homeland Security was created after 9/11.

Defund the whole damn thing.
Amid growing calls for the abolition of ICE, Rep. Delia Ramirez is calling for the entire DHS to be dismantled. Highlighting how much experience the officers who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti had, Ramirez said, “DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity.”
House Democrat Says Abolishing ICE Isn’t Enough — DHS Must Go, Too
“The problem isn’t ‘training.’ DHS was built to violate our rights,” said Rep. Delia C. Ramirez.

Minneapolis' "playbook" is not the Viet Cong's; it's the organizational skills you develop as an active Lutheran.
MAGA military geniuses are talking about Minnesota protestors like they are the Iraqi insurgency, the Taliban, and the Viet Cong all rolled into one.

This was just me making this comparison yesterday, but today the Korean news is calling Minnesota "America's Gwangju" and have human rights lawyers explaining how America is now living through the dictatorship Korea once had.
The Chun regime that my wife fought against in the 80s did the exact same thing. They needed a "crisis" that "only they could solve" to hoard more ill-gotten power, so they chose one city (Gwangju), declared its inhabitants enemies, sent trucks full of soldiers to violently attack and kill them.
