“Make Corruption Illegal Again” should be the slogan. And it should cover Congress trading stocks, dark money, crypto, health insurance, the ballroom, and the Supreme Court, just to name a few.

We also have to get the money back. The billions of $$ that Trump and his minions have pocketed and sequestered in crypto and Bahamian banks. Every convoluted thread he’s used to hide taxpayer $$ and “donations” and bribes, must be followed and retrieved. #FollowTheMoney

Underrated fact you raise here! I'm not even a New Yorker and I thought of Sliwa as bad-weird since the 1980s. He is SIGNIFICANTLY less bad-weird than ANYBODY I've heard of hired by the entire Trump administration.

Hey it's a new year, here's some life advice from me:

- any time you think to yourself "I'd love to do [creative endeavor], but I could never" — just do it. Learn embroidery, write a novel, try doing synchronized swimming, take a ballet class. The worst that could happen is you suck at it.

like 75% of dem messaging right now should be “the party led by epsteins best friend is breaking into pre-k childcare centers so they can record your toddlers and put the videos on internet”
uhhh yeah I can see why these childcare properties weren't eager to let in some rando dudes asking "where are the kids?"

I never do "Here's what I wrote this year," because you only have to go to our site and scroll through the roughly 4,000 posts I write every year, but nothing will make me prouder than reintroducing the fabulous Harlow to the world. It's the best thing I've written in years

Harlow's still here
Fifty years ago, Harlow was the queen of Philadelphia nightlife, Jack Kelly’s girlfriend, and the city's most famous transgender woman. Today, she’s ready to tell her story.

‘Thoughts and prayers’, because that fixes everything, right?

Or, we could cover our coughs, wear masks on planes and very crowded places, wash our hands often (especially for the flu virus), and stay home if we know we are sick.

@moryan.bsky.social I just realized that PLURIBUS is a big, fat response to The Women Who Say ‘No’ trope…

sorry, for the tardy realization of this matter.

As others point out, if you go to the remarkably moving and interesting Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge, MA this aspect of his thought is well documented.

It was reprehensible when people mocked condom usage at the height of the AIDS pandemic.

It is just as depraved to mock those wearing masks to reduce the spread of airborne viruses today.

Whenever someone takes any kind of step to protect public health, they should be applauded, not mocked.

Or the 600,000 they’re estimating have already died because USAID was destroyed, for example. Suddenly musk cares about people dying? Those burning to death because they can’t get out of his cars don’t seem to bother him - or the NTSB for that matter.

An enraging trend right now, from CBS to the CDC, of people actively undermining institutions, then taking the reins of those institutions and claiming they need to rebuild the trust they helped destroy. (Also, people already trusted 60 Minutes.) bsky.app/profile/just...
Bari Weiss just sent this Christmas Eve email to the CBS News staff about "building trust," which includes her tripling down on spiking the CECOT piece "to make sure it's comprehensive and fair."

One CBS staffer tells me: "She really has no idea how insulting she comes across."
