A lot of elected officials need to get themselves arrested ASAP IMO. I'd do it but you didn't vote for me.
This is not the language of the government of a free country.

simply not enough to keep the seats warm and be "not fascist" (or, often times, fascist-lite). you have to be actively anti-fascist and use your powers in office to kneecap the white supremacists. victory that comes at the cost of doing anything with the gained power is the definition of pyrrhic

It’s a good idea, but I wonder if he knows that Substack is part of the same “parallel media” operation as X & that Musk ally Marc Andreessen has funded both of them? To be fair, I don’t think most people know this (yet). 1/

Violent Tyranny. Intolerable
How is this not inciting violence?

Why must they remind ICE that they have immunity?

One of their agents just shot a killed a woman in broad daylight and they’re effectively telling them to go ahead and do whatever they want because they’re above the law.

Be safe Minneapolis.

he should absolutely do this. while wearing a wire
Sen. Kevin Cramer: "Maybe the point should be if you're the attorney for Jay Powell and you want to avoid an indictment, how about you go to Jeanine Pirro and say, 'I'll make a deal. I'll step down today if you drop the investigation today.' To me, that would be a win win for everybody."

I want these fuckers prosecuted. I will not vote for a candidate who shies away from this.
A teenage boy was walking home in Minneapolis yesterday when four masked men jumped out of a van & questioned him - with no parent or guardian present.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.

Bystanders heard the boy say: “Can I just go home?”

I don’t know how America comes back from all this.

You should only do that in Signal.

This is why those of us who live here keep telling you he cannot be our president. For every fun “anti-Trump post” there’s something like this.
Newsom Vows to Stop Proposed Billionaire Tax in California

Gov. Gavin Newsom said he was working behind the scenes to block a proposed tax on billionaires’ wealth and was committed to defeating the measure if it reached the ballot.

The national media, the ADL, corporate leaders, etc. are not revisiting their decisions about Musk now afaict. Musk is just allowed to be a very public Nazi accelerationist as well as a CSAM publisher without any mainstream scrutiny.
Every week is overwhelming evidence of what we saw with our own eyes, but which our credulous media was afraid to print: the Nazi salute was a Nazi salute
Yesterday Elon Musk retweeted "white solidarity is the only way to survive". In our numb overwhelmed media environment it barely made headlines that the world's richest man endorsed blood-curdling white nationalism. My brief writeup for @religiondispatches.org

Impeach Trump, Noem, Kennedy, Oz, the whole lot. And constantly push for it. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have the votes. Make the GOP keep voting for fascism again and again. Make them own it all.

Air pollution kills over 100,000 people every year in the U.S., about 5 times all homicide combined. But you won't see wall-to-wall coverage of Trump's deadly announcement. The *volume* of news coverage affects who and what we are afraid of, and which larger threats we ignore.

Some good suggestions from @brianbeutler.bsky.social. I think Rep Daniel Goldman offers a good start at how Dems might approach this going forward here:

It would be amazing to see the giant springtails found in Australia and New Zealand before a warming and drying climate makes that impossible.

State and local law enforcement know the communities they serve. They’ve built the trust and know how to keep us safe.

I think this might be giving them too much credit, but also it doesn't matter.

Whether it's deliberate on their part or a function of incompetence, the impact is the same.
1 - Understand that when the police, I.C.E. or any sort of military type personnel start yelling contradictory commands at civilians that's a deliberate strategy. It's intentional. They're trying to create confusion and fear.
