Ultimately, the problem with single issue free speech crusaders is that "free speech" isn't a single issue.
There are questions of censorship, questions of whether something is actually "speech" or "violence," and questions of whether a demand for free speech is genuine.

HHS is trying to force Seattle Children's into doing a Sophie's choice of abandoning trans youth or see kids with cancer or other serious illness have their coverage and care disrupted. That's what this is about.
Hopefully, the courts put a quick stop to this like the subpoenas.

I really love the story behind Thor Heyerdahl's ships. Dude built multiple boats and piloted them to prove his hypotheses. Loses points for those hypotheses being hyperdiffusion, but he committed and his travels got more attention on Polynesian history and pre-Columbian technology.

When I worked at an elementary school in the South Bronx, the kids there played chess a few times a week. The best chess players in the city, if not the country, are often from the poorest neighborhoods in New York.
My nephew’s Brooklyn middle school has chess as an elective, he is now a chess obsessive and getting very good

For those not following at home, “Heritage American” is a category of white supremacy covering people whose ancestors were white folks who were pioneers.

Forget even prosecuted. The party will NOT defund ICE. And most of their voters will be fine with this if they return to power. I don't think this is defeatist in the least. To me, it's reality. You would expect to see something different right now if they were going to act differently in power.
We shouldn’t be doomer defeatists about these things, but we also shouldn’t go in ignorant. These ICE thugs tearing families apart are more likely to remain in their jobs than be prosecuted based on everything we know about the Democratic Party.

I hate that we legally cannot do this in Canada because giving away literally anything at all can be considered an "inducement" and therefore a violation of our election integrity laws.
I get /why/ we do things that way, but even still... sucks for those of us who'd do -good- things with it.
