did the US Navy post a profit last year?
🚨SCOOP: Amazon is preparing to sever ties with USPS and expand its shipping network as a true coast-to-coast rival.

It could cost USPS more than *$6 billion* a year in lost revenue, and lead Amazon to dominate yet another facet of the economy.

Exactly the same thing trump does where he's obsessed with the notion that everyone has been "very unfair" to him despite succeeding wildly beyond what his intellectual limits would suggest is possible. It's pathological & all-consuming; they won't rest until they get the "We All Love You" prize
it requires an absolutely staggering lack of self awareness for chatterton to complain that he has lost elite opportunities because he has anti-woke views.

man, what an unbelievably poor leader. no "thanks for all of the work that you do", no "i wish you and your loved ones well", no "i look forward to what we'll do together in the coming year", just "i must have the last word on this, i was right, and you can't stop me, merry christmas, pissants"
Bari Weiss just sent this Christmas Eve email to the CBS News staff about "building trust," which includes her tripling down on spiking the CECOT piece "to make sure it's comprehensive and fair."

One CBS staffer tells me: "She really has no idea how insulting she comes across."

Underdiscussed point: how much responsibility Substack bears for Bari Weiss being in the position she is now in.

Fuck substack
the quality of work that bari weiss produced at THE FREE PRESS was dogshit-tier bad (even by the standards of right wing slop) but it was a financial success anyway because Substack's right wing owners and other oligarch benefactors heavily promoted it.

Of all the Presidents to be in office during the peak of the unitary executive theory, Trump is the absolute worst.
Axios has learned the White House has begun managing the DOJ's account on X to respond to posts highlighting mentions of Trump in the Epstein files.

In typical administrations, there is a wall between the White House and what is supposed to be an independent Justice Department.
Scoop: Trump administration expects Epstein files release could last another week
The White House has begun managing the DOJ's account on X, an effort to finish out the year and the Epstein file disclosure requirements set by Congress.

They couldn’t handle it worse but the biggest problem is that TRUMP WAS DEEPLY INVOLVED WITH EPSTEIN FOR MANY YEARS.
Complaints from Trump loyalists and functionaries working in and close to this administration focused largely on three grievances: 1) the way the Trump administration has handled this since the summer has not only created a massive political scandal for him, but has fueled public suspicions…
We reached out to numerous trump advisers, senior administration officials, others close to trump and in the Republican elite to grade the trump doj’s handling of the Epstein saga from July to today. All but one said F or F minus

Because that one said “F-minus-minus.”
