*If* the federal government actually retreats in Minnesota, I will never, ever let anybody forget that it was the people, not the courts, that made them do it.

Kind of think that locally we’re entering into a political moment where the idea that someone in public office credibly claiming they are a more complex or pragmatic thinker than the average citizen has become untenable. The only question will be what did you do.

There’s a vote in DC tomorrow that would give DHS $11 billion more in funding. Schumer and Jeffries have already walked back any “demands” they had for DHS.

I, for one, do not think this timing is just a coincidence. Turn down the temp for the vote. Turn it right back up when the bag is secured.

Despite all of the progress in movement building in Minnesota, we are still struggling with, "I have thought of a potential objection to this idea and therefore must state it at length in a group chat."

You can actually hold these thoughts in your head and choose when it's important to share!

Every photo from Minneapolis looks like this. Cops decked out with guns and full tac gear facing off against people in bathrobes, parkas, and sweatpants armed only with whistles and cell phones.

Yet every verified MAGA chode on X dutifully calls it a riot or violent insurrection.

Ending this operation is not enough.

We need justice and accountability. That starts with independent investigations into the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, economic restitution for businesses impacted, abolishing ICE, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.

Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here.

Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone.

Can't wait for council to tell these retailers the same thing they tell bike riders; yeah more cops are a good idea, and we support it, but we just can't afford it at this time.

This is a really important point, and part of what MN has been demanding - we don't just want ICE OUT, we want ICE STOPPED - we shouldn't have been terrorized like this, and nobody else should either.
Chicago, Portland, and LA demanded the same, but ICE just moved on - and came to MN.

NO MORE.
even if ICE move on, levy armstrong says, where is the accountability? it is not enough for them to get out, to move to another community. they must face accountability for the harm they put on the state of minnesota

It's not over until we finish the job. Put a stake through the fetid heart of this monster. Abolishing ICE is only the beginning. They started it with Minnesota, let's be the ones to end it.
This victory is yours, but we must not stop until ICE is completely abolished, and no more families are ever separated again.

I will forever be thankful to those who patrolled, observed, and supported our community with mutual aid and daily tasks during these horrific times. 3/
