Obviously this is a fucked up statement on its own, but doing so while slapping a journalist vest and parachtuing in to essentially make content of people's suffering is fucked up on a whole other level. He's not a reporter, hes a content creator cosplaying for likes.
During his trip to Minnesota, Hasan Piker claims that Kamala Harris would have done the exact same things Trump is doing right now to the American people. Why is he so fixated on this?
From the LivestreamFail community on Reddit: Hasan goes to MN just to say Kamala wouldve done the same thing 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I saw this during the hk protests too, it is reflexive and weird
Tankies and certain ghouls in the US believe any mass protest must be backed by foreign powers because they could never imagine themselves defending and serving their communities
i’ve known this line was craven bullshit since tankies deployed it against hong kong and i sure as hell know it’s bullshit today

The Home2Suits has fallen and you’re not getting that signing bonus for another 4.5 years. Ass. It’s all ass, dude.
Minneapolis, MN -

Very developing situation here. FPS agents ran into the hotel. Tear gas deployed. Hotel patrons forced to put their hands up. One agent’s nose bloodied.

there were self-proclaimed leftists actively hoping for/working towards a victory for president crime in all three elections.
I would point out it was the liberals, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris who ran for President on "Trump is a scary authoritarian" while leftists derided them for not reaching out to his supporters and claimed there'd be no big difference between them and Trump.
This whole thread is kind of fascinating to me, because it's predicated on an insurmountable ideological distinction between "liberalism" and "leftism", and then all of the examples he gives are purely arguments about aesthetics, style, emotion, association, rhetoric, etc.

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

It's not just that these professional politics observers somehow failed to spot the obvious rise of American nativist thuggery.

It's how much energy they devoted to arguing the real problem was the volume, tone, and vocabulary of those raising the alarm about it.

Too many pundits have been anchored to historical American politics as their frame of reference, all but wishcasting a natural return to normalcy if only dissidents acted the part.

But we’re through the looking glass. This moment resembles revolution/counter-revolution dynamics more than anything.

The latest article by Tyler Austin Harper of The Atlantic is hilarious.

Incredible bookend to the conservative case for an armed society.

Also the logical endpoint for his lies about the 2024 election and on behalf of Trump.

I believe they think they can provoke a massacre by state security forces through poking protestors hard enough and then ride the fear from a mass casualty event to ruling forever. I am not saying they are correct. I’m just saying I think that’s what they believe.
Curious if anyone has a plausible theory of victory for the administration if it were to invoke the Insurrection Act.

How does the administration "win" in such a scenario?

Best I can tell, it is magical thinking by a certain somebody at the White House, but maybe I'm missing something.
