I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Btw, I reject any neo-traditional sense of Thanksgiving in terms of America or pilgrims, but I embrace it as a sort of seasonal eat food day off, the REAL traditional sense of a late November holiday.

Hello friends, I had an emergency diskectomy due to a herniated disc that caused both legs to fail and go numb. I’m recovering and pain is gone, but both legs are numb below knee and I cannot flex my ankles or stand. Anyone went through this? If so, please let me know what your outcome was. Thanks
