I have to admit it's getting better, a little better all the time.

This might be trivial, but I'm always conscious to say I'm super happy for my daughter when she does something well instead of super proud. Like she played really well in her basketball tournament today. So she should be proud! But that is not my pride. That's hers.

A manager for the Immigrant Defense Network told MPR News that back in November, 2,500 people were trained as constitutional observers. Now, the total is nearly 30,000 trained observers in 77 of Minnesota's 87 counties.
Nearly 30,000 Minnesotans trained as constitutional observers
The Immigrant Defense Network works with more than 100 organizations to help train constitutional observers. At the end of November, there were 2,500 trained observers. That number has soared as more ...

Minnesota friends, do you—or anyone you know—work in the brewing industry and want to talk about the realities of operating a brewery in 2026? Like, nitty gritty?

It really bums me out that Klobuchar, who was instrumental in normalizing Trump as just another political adversary, is almost certainly going to be the next governor of Minnesota, a state currently paying a severe price for that normalization of fascism.
Here's all the Klobuchar v. Republican matchups from that SurveyUSA poll

Best Klobuchar lead is +20, worst is +14

Klobuchar can talk a big game on the Sunday shows but she is not on our side. All she's done is normalize Trump.

JFC ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE ALREADY REQUIRED. OH MY GOD.

YOU ARE BEGGING FOR THINGS THAT ARE ALREADY REQUIRED BY LAW.

GEE I WONDER HOW NATIONAL DEMS COMPLETELY LOST THE RHETORICAL BATTLE ON IMMIGRATION. IF ONLY THERE WERE ANY RECENT EXAMPLES OF THEM JUST ACCEPTING GOP FRAMING AND TALKING POINTS.
DeLauro says House Dems want "provisions to require judicial warrants, prohibit U.S. citizens from being detained or deported, strengthen oversight of reconciliation funds, mandate the use of body-worn cameras and establish an enforceable code of conduct."

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you are so devoid of community you think people standing up for others must be paid, you need to look inward.

Today in Minnesota federal agents stationed themselves in dark SUVs along school bus routes during afternoon dropoff so they might have the opportunity to abduct and deport children and their parents
Just so everyone is clear, Minnesota is still very much under siege by the federal government and their gestapo. My son's school had to lockdown today after threatening messages were sent to the school office. It's all absolutely fucked and there appears to be no end in sight.

Legal status. Not the worst of the worst.

GTFO with any of your arguments this operation is anywhere close to working.
Woman with legal status taken from her family home in St Paul by ICE, flown to Texas, held for two weeks before being ordered released by a judge. She lost her job. She's afraid to go outside because agents keep coming to her home.

After ICE release St. Paul woman, she says agents keep returning to her home
Thi Dua Vang legally came to the U.S. two years ago. So when ICE showed up, she thought it must have been a mistake.

all those people complaining about a protest in church are going to rise up over this too right?

Trump’s whole shtick is bluffing to see what he can get people to accept and then backing down when there is pushback. Heck, I think it’s a learned negotiation tactic where he sees no downside to overplaying his hand because he usually ends up getting more than he would have.
They're cooked.

There was this game for Atari 2600 called Combat where if you wanted to get to the left quickly, you just took a hard right and came out the other side of the screen.

Anyway....
Pirro: "You bring a gun into the District, you mark my words, you're going to jail. I don't care if you have a license in another district and I don't care if you're a law abiding law owner somewhere else. You bring a gun into this District, count on going to jail. And that makes all the difference"

I can feel the media cycle slipping away from Minnesota and it scares me. The Epstein release was an effective distraction and I have no faith anything will come of it. Swapping Homan and Bovino and his statements about reducing ICE presence seemed to lead people to believe the fight was won.
