Disney is investing one billion into OpenAI-- this is exactly why that lobbying effort against AI with these companies (including Adobe, et al) using the copyright angle was never going to work. The technology itself is completely unethical, and these conglomerates are going to use it regardless.

The fact that copyright sometimes helps individual artists and creators is a side effect that hasn't been "solved" yet, it primarily benefits large rent-seeking corporations!!!

I should probably not say this because I've had a Disney+ show in development in the past, but this sucks. They paid a billion dollars to flood Disney Plus with Sora slop videos, and you should cancel your service and tell them why because who the hell wants to pay for that let alone see it.
They could’ve bankrupted OpenAI in lawsuits. Instead, they’re adopting OpenAI APIs and giving them a billion dollars.
