I don't think AI agents having moods or traits that resemble emotions constitutes proof of personhood, fwiw; I think that it is better to model them as *actors*, in the way that an actor playing the role of "person who is happy" will act in happy ways

No, it’s not that. Again think back to George Floyd: within a week that video had produced the largest protests in history, literally worldwide, combined with things like 60% public approval for BLM and majority support for BURNING DOWN A POLICE STATION. The public can care about this stuff!
