Billionaires are parasites, and they consume more value by living in California than they return to the economy. They want the social benefits, the location, the connections, but they do not want to fund them.

Let them fuck off to Wyoming and enjoy no-tax paradise in the middle of fucking nowhere.

If billionaires contributed enough to a California's economy to matter, they wouldn't be billionaires.

Individuals hoarding cash and taking out loans based on stock valuations contribute very little to society. You'd think the New York Times would get that, but I suppose they're paid not to now.

CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

If any journalist wants to talk to a trans man with a PhD in Human Genomics who was trained in labs that studied the evolution of sex, I'm right here

Or just keep platforming Republicans who have a 5th grade understanding of biology so they get more trans people killed, sure 🤷🏻‍♂️

The fact that the governmental bodies outlawing our healthcare are now pushing the term "sex rejection procedures" is a tacit admission of the reality that sex can be changed.

If you think of yourself as an ally, you better get caught up on this fact real quick!
You *can* change your sex. That is the entire reason that transition care is being demonised, vilified, erased, and outlawed. Because this fact makes cis people uncomfortable.

Deal with your own discomfort without denying biological reality.
spare us from the cis allies who are always like "nobody saying that you can change your sex" and "we're talking about gender not sex, they're very different." stop it.

What we enjoyed about the tech advances of the 00s and 10s is that they made aspects of our lives more enjoyable or convenient.

Tech “advances” in the 20s are about scamming us.
We can do even more.

This is fucking grim. Somebody invented a white guy, an "IT professional" named Edward Crabtree, who stopped the Bondi shooting and spread it all over the internet, which was picked up by AI agents and slop aggregation sites.

The real hero is a fruit stand owner named Ahmed el Ahmed.

Coke's AI ad from last year the creative agency revealed that they had to generate 85 minutes of footage just to find 15 usable seconds.

Everyone who attempts making an AI ad quickly discovers it's actually far MORE work and cost to make usable than just going out and shooting the damn thing.
Always hilarious to see ppl realize that even the most benign piece of media is the outcome of many many hours work and decision making, and slopping loads of shit together with no direction somehow doesn't quite feel the same - probably spent more on this than a normal ad

This is actually a good example of why the customer model is wrong.

I wouldn't have chosen poetry writing, but UNC made me take a class. And it absolutely made me become a much better writer, with an eye to concision and an ear now trained to the rhythm of words. I'm a better historian as a result.
If you are providing me with an education that is low utility in the world then it’s a disservice. My composition class spent four weeks on poetry. I’m sorry, but that only would’ve been useful if I wanted to be a poet. I don’t need to know iambic pentameter in order to be a victim advocate.
