Bitter, sarcastic, and handsome. I'm just a person, like you. inprnt.com/gallery/doggamn Profile picture: A blue-purple baby elephant in profile wearing a bright pink bow tied around their neck. They hold a pink rose with their trunk and smile at you.

My birthday is this fall 💛

Nothing would make me happier than to see the Palestinians I've been in contact with have enough money each day for food and supplies for babies and children 😭

Please help me help them out!! 🫂

I can confirm they are all real people, we have been speaking for months ❤️‍🩹

When the Proud Boys stormed the Capital and tried to overthrow the government, we were told it was “just a protest”.

They were pardoned.

But furries dancing in Portland and priests praying in Chicago are a threat to the government?

Those fighting fascism are terrorists?

Welcome to fascism.

HUGE NEWS Scientists reverse Alzheimer’s symptoms using nanoparticles that clear brain plaque & restore memory

In a massive breakthrough, researchers from Spain & China developed nanoparticles that remove toxic Alzheimer’s plaques from the brain AND repair the brain’s natural defense system.

I live in a complex with a lot of stray/outdoor cats and overheard a neighbor talking about one that died tragically the other day. I like the suggestion one person mentioned about putting up posters so that, if she does have a guardian, they can contact you

For newer users of BlueSky, please alt-text your images. It helps people who use screen-readers or who have slow internet connections understand the image you've uploaded. Make the web accessible.

I rarely reshare images without alt-text & I know others do the same. Alt-text your images for reach

I'm just a lapsed baby programmer but you'd be better off just looking things up when you're stuck? Figuring out answers and how to find them is a good thing to practice

People love citing code as one of the "best use cases" for LLMs and the like and it's like... no? They're actually not very good at it?

I donated some copies of Let This Radicalize You for distribution at an ICE watch training for folks who want to join school patrols in a nearby neighborhood. Not everyone got a copy, because 120 people showed up for that training tonight. I am endlessly proud of Chicago.
A display of copies of Let This Radicalize You on a table in front of a sign that reads: "Let This Radicalize You offers stories, strategy and heart for the kind of collective care and resistance we're building together today. It helps us move from reacting to organizing. Showing how ordinary people protect each other, build power, and keep hope alive. Take a copy. Read it. Stay connected."

Surprising that more Dems have not said something like this. There are ways to say it without sounding like it’s a direct threat.

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Since I'm talking about this, does anybody need line editing or copy editing on their books or movement resources? I would love to help nurture your works about making change or understanding the current moment and its history. I've got 20 years of experience and I will never ever use "AI"/LLMs.
