Actually I think it's the precise opposite of clear what a prospective candidate for high office thinks if he refuses to articulate what he believes something is or is not and what he would or would not do to change the situation.

Kind of related, I'm looking forward to roasting this new class of "it's rude for people to keep bringing up my support for the Iraq war and is actually harassment" journalists in 10 years on exotwitter or whatever
I think guys like hanania are going to find people aren't going to be swayed as easily by the Journalist's Code Rehabilitation Procedure this time around

I work with state parties every single day. There are only a handful of national leaders who actually raise real money for the year organizing state parties do--Ken Martin (dnc chair), Simon Rosenberg (Hopium), Sen. Warren and Actblue. Come for Simon and you come for all of us.
I'm not interested in arguing with the good people of Minnesota, on the front lines, doing the hard work of protecting our democracy. I've worked hard to bring your bravery and courage to the world in recent weeks on Hopium.

But attacks like this are false, defamatory, and need to end. 1/

I'd wager this is the angriest statement ever issued by the Nobel Peace Prize people...

most of his supporters are just desperate libs who imprinted on him like they're baby ducklings, there's scant *reason* for it other than that his PR team whipped "HE'S THE FRONTRUNNER, MEET YOUR NEW DAD" really hard while they were all feeling lost and confused
I put myself through the entire interview. Trust me when I tell you that Gavin "dank memes" Newsom agrees with him on EVERYTHING. I literally says "I agree with you" on EVERYTHING. Ben "extremely unpopular even with MAGA" Shapiro gets very combative with him and Gavin capitulates EVERY time.
Ben Shapiro: "Israel did not commit a genocide in Gaza"
Gavin Newsom: "I agree with you."

yeah i wonder what that exploitation might look like
No one should be surprised that our domestic discourse can be exploited by malicious actors for whatever reason. It's a common, daily occurrence, particularly in moments of crisis/conflict.

I reported more than 40 accounts to @safety.bsky.app and hope they take them down & disrupt the network. 6/

This is not going to happen because the Republican Party mostly agrees with Donald Trump and supports what he is doing. They would not only be setting themselves up for primary losses, but undermining an agenda they mostly support and would like to see continue.
Four GOP Senators.

At most four Repubs in the House.

Together they could stop nearly all the mad-king's rampages. They would be known to history as Profiles in Courage. They might/would lose the next election. But people have sacrificed a lot more, for a lot less.
I can't repeat this enough.

Nabokov and Hitchcock have a lot in common: depictions of obsessive, deranged personalities, presented as the authored product of a creator almost equally obsessive, deranged; the feeling of being drawn into a secret world, fascinating and troubling. Endless cabinetries of weird curated artefacts.

I'm not sure the author of this piece ever worked a service job before, because getting the authority to say "get the fuck out right now" to a visitor that's annoying the shit out of people is one of the rare joys of a service job
The general theme of this commentary is "stop asking MN companies to ban ICE from their properties." The argument is that enforcing the ban would fall to individual low-paid employees, who would be placed in danger.

you know this guy is a FOR REAL photographer because he's telling the story of his brutal, unconditional arrest by federal goons and can't help but slip in a gear review
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
