I'd have no objection if the Nobel Peace Prize went to a number of the courageous Venezuelan pro-democracy/human rights activists struggling against the Maduro regime. However, the rightwing María Corina Machado--whose commitment to democracy and social justice is dubious--was a very poor choice.

California is expanding early education for young children, creating a new grade, Universal Transitional Kindergarten, for all of California's four-year-olds.

Through investments like these, we'll be moving the needle on student academic achievement for years to come.

I just signed legislation allowing the 800,000 rideshare workers in California to unionize.

California is determined to give working people a voice, to give them choice, give them dignity, and give them a say about their future.

This week, the Global Sumud Flotilla tried to deliver life-saving aid to Gaza.

Instead, 461 people—including New Yorkers—have been detained by the Israeli military.

They must be freed at once. And the deliberate starvation of Palestinians must end now.

This is so indefensibly insane: Speaker Johnson is refusing to seat Congresswoman-elect Adelita Grijalva because she'll be the 218th vote to release the Epstein files. Johnson swore in Rep Walkinshaw (VA) w/in 24 hours.

Johnson is abandoning his job to instead protect a convicted child sex predator

Let's be clear: no one should be taking medical advice from the man who told Americans to inject bleach.

To moms worried about the Tylenol they took while pregnant: you deserve better than being RFK Jr's scapegoat.

And to the autism community: you are loved exactly as you are.

Sad. Don’t know what coverage is like in the US but here’s the BBC.
At the end of the first set, President Trump was booed much louder than earlier when he appeared on the jumbotron.
The camera lingered for much longer than it usually does on famous faces, too.
The reception from the New Yorkers was markedly different when rock icon Bruce Springsteen - a local hero from New Jersey - appeared to euphoric cheers.
Trump sat stony-faced as Springsteen, who has been a vocal critic of the president, grinned.
