The three parties negotiating the formation of a new Dutch coalition cabinet have announced that they will pursue a minority coalition option. With 10 seats shy of a House majority, and 16 seats shy of a Senate majority, this will be challenging. nos.nl/artikel/2597...

What X is allowing Grok to do is unlawful or regulatory-illegal in multiple jurisdictions, creates clear DSA violations, and continues despite regulator scrutiny. The images do not need to be pornographic, non-consensual sexualised or intimate depictions are enough.

Just saw a photo that Grok produced of a child no older than four years old in which it took off her dress, put her in a bikini + added what is intended to be semen. ChatGPT does not do this. Gemini does not do this.

Another girl who appears to be just 11 or 12 with a brain tumor, Grok removed her shirt completely.

Stating that the people producing the prompts are the only ones responsible puts an undue burden on victims, most of which have no idea this is happening. This problem + exploitation of children could be fixed in a matter of minutes by the MechaHitler team.

Sommige politici claimen dat niet vuurwerk maar een gezagscrisis het probleem is. Het doet denken aan de VS, waar de vuurwapenlobby zegt: wapens doden geen mensen, mensen doden mensen. In Nederland wordt dat: vuurwerk veroorzaakt geen overlast, mensen veroorzaken overlast.

April 2025 steunde de Kamer het vuurwerkverbod (‘Wet veilige jaarwisseling’). vdPlas (BBB) en Eerdmans (JA21) kwamen op voor de vuurwerkbranche; hun motie voor 1 jaar uitstel (PVV, VVD, NSC en BBB ‘regeerden’ nog) haalde het, al voorzag Bikker (CU) een ‘armageddon’.

On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

Het speelveld voor het mobiliseren van regeerkracht en stabiliteit is door de opkomst van het populisme al klein. De VVD onder Yesilgöz maakt het door haar blokkadepolitiek nog kleiner. De kleingeestige machtsdrift rond de Hofvijver is altijd groter dan het landsbelang.

Zou Klaver niet bereid zijn geweest mee te werken aan een minderheidskabinet met D66 en CDA? Denk het wel. Gaat m.i. veel meer om de samenstelling dan de minderheidsvorm.

GL-PvdA is toch vooral tegen *dít* minderheidskabinet, dunkt me. Begrijpelijk, maar minderheidskabinetten op zich kunnen zeker stabiel zijn (met gedoogsteun, bereidheid tot samenwerking). Grote vraag of dat nu ook zo zal zijn. Maar niet verstandig om zo hard tegen het fenomeen op zich te ageren.

Kiezen voor een minderheidskabinet betekent ook heel duidelijk kiezen voor onzekerheid. Een heel slecht idee.

Mensen hebben behoefte aan duidelijkheid, stabiliteit en keuzes, niet permanente politieke twijfel. Vanuit de Kamer zullen wij ons voor die mensen keihard inzetten.

Nogmaals: minderheidskabinetten zijn stabiel in Scandinavië. Maar dat zijn ze niet zo maar.
En het is niet evident dat de randvoorwaarden er zijn in Nederland.

Informateur Buma sluit niet uit dat er een minderheidscoalitie komt. In Nederland gebeurt dat zelden, maar in Zweden en Denemarken hebben ze er veel ervaring mee.
