Mamdani: Today is an incredible win for working people. We’re talking about a $1.2 billion commitment to make universal childcare a reality.

What today’s commitment shows is that working families will no longer have to choose between the city they love and the family they want to raise.

ICE has long used the latest spy tech to pursue immigrants — but now it’s also targeting anti-ICE protesters. Here's what you need to know:
The sheer number of videos of the shooting is horrific, but in the vein of what @prisonculture.bsky.social has been saying, it proves how many people cared enough to show up where ICE was and record them. It wasn't just one or two legal observers, and when Good was shot, they didn't abandon her.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey in the aftermath of ICE agents murdering a US citizen.

“To ICE, get the f*ck out of Minneapolis.”
Frey: So, they are already trying to spin this as an action of self-defense. Having seen the video of myself, I want to tell everybody directly: That is bullshit.

The video shows ICE agents removing the woman's body from the car & carrying her down the road, no ambulance. An onlooker tried to approach to help, identified himself as a doctor & ICE pointed guns at him.
